Sagenite agate collected on a club field trip in central Arizona.

Welcome! Please have a look around and check out our website. This is our first foray into the internet world, and our site will be under construction for a little while as we expand. Otherwise, enjoy!

Our regular membership meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month (Sept.-May) at 7:00 PM in the community room of the Sedona Public Library. Meeting activities include Artisan of the Month awards, guest speakers with interesting and informative programs, raffles, displays, wonderful cookies, and comraderie with friendly fellow rockhounds.

Other club activities include exciting monthly field trips for many different rocks, fossils, and minerals.

Also, excellent classes in lapidary, jewelry making, carving, tumbling, beading, chain making, design, and mineral identification are all available to members for a small fee.

Beautiful honey onyx from a northern Arizona field trip.

Look for Pat McMahan's article on agate prospecting in the April issue of Rock & Gem Magazine. You can see more of Pat's beautiful collection at his website:

Our club will be on hiatus during the hot summer months, and we will be resuming our regular meeting schedule again in September. Have a happy and safe summer, and we'll see you then!
